It's so easy for kids to escape. Just don a pirate costume -- or any costume other than your own skin -- and you're off. Do they even know how lucky they are? No, of course not.

David sure had the right idea. He was thinking more along the lines of avian creatures rather than pirates, but the thought is the same. I wonder if they sell a sturdy pair of wings at the Dollar Store ...
