More on "Making Rings" -- Now For Some Bling
Continuing in the spirit of Grace's recent antics and, more specifically, mispronunciations, there's an even greater winner than her version of "Ring Around the Rosie," as mentioned below. But let me first say this, lest you think we are teaching our daughter bad words, along with our diligent efforts at "please" and "thank you." All kids -- at least, many children -- mix up their words. Sometimes it's adorably cute, like "wuv" instead of "love," or "Nick Wert City" instead of "New York City." And sometimes it's ... well, not so cute, the kind of flubs where outwardly you cover your mouth, sharply inhaling your breath, yet inwardly you're laughing hysterically that your toddler came out with a doozy. My completely innocent nephew, for instance, had trouble for a while with the word "truck." You get the idea.
So ... what's Grace's latest doozy? It's my all-time favorite flubbing of a word. It's "popcorn," which -- when you hear it from Grace's sweet girly voice -- sounds remarkably like:
CARPORN!
Yeah ... you're laughing too, I know it. It's even more hilarious when she's sporting her vast array of bling. Check out my Princess in all her finery:
She's a dream, this one. A lovely, hot-headed, sweet, stubborn, beautiful dream who keeps us laughing. We can never get enough of that.
